Anne H. Wright’s professional career spans more than 25 years and encompasses a diverse range of corporate, regulatory, and legal experience
In 2009, she opened Anne Wright Associates LLC, a consulting practice in Washington, DC. The firm specializes in corporate governance, business ethics and compliance, and financial regulatory issues.
Until 2009, she served as Associate General Counsel and Chief Ethics Counsel at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). In this capacity, Anne provided legal advice to senior management and key committees of the board in such areas as director qualifications, conflicts of interest, and contested elections. She also devised and implemented FINRA’s voluntary counterparts to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, led a multi-year overhaul of the company’s internal business conduct program, introduced Web-based tools to provide cost-effective ethics training needs of widely dispersed employees, and implemented a 24-hour, anonymous ethics helpline
Over the course of her career, Anne has also handled appellate litigation for FINRA and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and served as law clerk to a judge on the DC Court of Appeals
Anne received her J.D. from Georgetown University, where she served as Executive Editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. She is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.
