Glenn Picou is Principal of Global Market Concepts, which provides specialized consulting services and training programs to financial firms, business organizations and educational institutions. His expertise includes economics, financial markets, derivative products, and risk management. Mr. Picou has also served as a consultant to the World Bank’s Economic Development Institute. Projects included executive education for senior government finance officials and policy makers responsible for capital markets development in emerging economies. As Director of Financial Training at American International Group (AIG), Mr. Picou was responsible for delivering a wide range of classroom and online training programs in the areas of Accounting, Finance, Financial Markets, Derivative Products and Risk Management.
While Executive Director with the CIBC Knowledge Network, Mr. Picou led a team of instructional design and information management professionals to develop and implement integrated learning strategies incorporating technology-based and conventional classroom delivery. In his former role as Treasurer of Citicorp’s U.S. Private Bank, Mr. Picou applied derivative product and risk management strategies to the unit’s funding, risk management and product development activities. He is currently on the Economics and Finance Faculty at Manhattan College, and also on the faculty of the Center for Professional Development at St. John's University.
